Supplier Quality Code Explanation

Quality Assurance Codes are as Follows:

- QA 1 – NAVSEA Standard Item (009) QA Requirements are invoked on this purchase order.

- QA 2 – Notify Técnico P.O.C. for Final Acceptance Inspection to be performed by POC.

- QA 3 – Técnico QA “HOLD POINTS” are required on this purchase order. Notify Técnico Project assigned QA Liaison not less than 4 hours prior to conducting Inspections, Examinations, or Tests per the Test and Inspection Plan(s) and provide OQE QA tickets within 24 hours of test/examination/inspection completion.

- QA 4 – This material must be shipped with Material Test Reports with the MTR stating where the applicable quality documentation can be found, traceable to its heat number, and signed by the quality manager, notary public, or licensed metallurgist. The material must be marked with its traceable numbers (e.g., heat, lot, code numbers etc.). Materials will not be accepted without accompanying documentation.

- QA 5 – This material’s MTR’s must be verified by Técnico’s QA Department. This note applies to all materials for Fabrication Manufacturing processes, all contracts that invoke PPD 802-7094539 and as any other contracts dictate.

- QA 6 – Submit all reports/documentation to Técnico’s QA Department.

- QA 7 – All work, materials, and workmanship shall be per ABS/MSC-GTR Requirements.

- QA 8 – The Requirements of this PO/Request is Per the Original Purchase Order Requirements.

- QA 9 – ASME Section VIII, Division 2 Code Material shall meet the requirements of ASME B&PV Code, Section II. This material must be shipped with Certified Material Test Reports (CMTR’s) and heat numbers clearly marked on materials or it will not be accepted.

- QA 10 – This material shall be shipped with a Certificate of Conformance (COC) for each delivery. The COC shall specify that the requirements of the applicable specifications and drawings have been met. The COC will also indicate the location where objective quality evidence is available for review by Técnico. A party responsible for overall quality of the material shall sign the COC.

- QA 11 – PCP’s Plans, Procedures, and Design Documents shall be submitted to Técnico QA for review and/or approval and submittal to the customer as required.

- QA 12 – Unless otherwise specified, dimensional tolerances are; Fractions – +/- 1/8”, Decimals – .X=+/-0.1”, .XX=+/- 0.03”, .XXX=+/-0.0010, Angles – +/- 1 degree.

- QA 13 – Verification arrangements of product or services at your facilities may be required and/or are available upon request.

- QA 14 – These items must be shipped with Certificates of Calibration that are in accordance with and comply to ISO 17025 / ANSI Z540-3.

- QA 15 – These items must be shipped with or work performed you must provide the required Process Test Data (e.g., temperature charts, leak testing reports, coating reports, environmental data, design reports, operational test data, etc.).

- QA 16 – These items must be shipped with current Safety Data Sheets that list actual VOC’s.

- QA 17 – This Supplier must complete a Supplier Quality Self-Survey Report (3-Pager) and be approved for the Approved Supplier’s List.

- QA 18 – Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) is required for items on this purchase order. If the items have been previously assigned a Component Identification Number (CID), this number must be on the supplier’s packing list. If no CID number has been assigned to the item, PTD must be provided in accordance with 9050-1500, Policies and Procedures Manual, Provisioning, Allowance, and Fitting out Support (PAFOS), Chapter 4, Provisioning.

- QA 19 – The work performed under this purchase order shall be in accordance with the NSTM 9090 – 310; AIT Quality Requirements.

- QA 20 – The Company shall provide a Certified NACE/NBPI/SSPC Coating Inspector to perform the requirements and documentation of NAVSEA Standard Item “009-32 on the purchase order.

- QA 21 – The Company performing non-skid or critical coating work under this purchase order shall ensure they provide the proper NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32 documentation, procedures, use calibrated measuring devices, and, ensure Técnico QA has your SSPC-QP1 Certification for non-skid/critical coating application.

- QA 22 – This material (rubber products, paint, glue, etc.) must be shipped with Product Data Sheets that identify Batch Numbers and Expiration Data / Shelf Life information.

- QA 23 – This supplier is required to fax (757-545-4925), e-mail jjarrett@tecnicocorp.com, or send certified/approved weld/braze/NDT procedures, weld/braze/NDT personnel certifications, and up-to-date eye-tests to Técnico’s QA Department for review, approval, and/or submittal to the customer as required prior to commencing work.

- QA 24 – Provide the ASTM F718, Shipbuilders & Marine Product/Procedure Data Sheet with these products.

- QA 25 – All invoicing up to 95% completion is signed by a Técnico Project/Contract Manager with the remaining 5% signed by the Project/Contract Manager and the Técnico Quality System Director.

- QA 26 – These material(s) must be shipped “Mercury Free” and “Free of PCB’s”.

- QA 27 – The Supplier has no reason to believe that any Conflict Minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, or gold as defined by Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act) provided under this purchase order which may have originated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country (Angola, Central African Republic, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzanian and Zambia.)

- QA 28 – This subcontractor is required to use, understand, and work to the requirements of HAB-SWP-013, Work Authorization Form (WAF) Processes.

- SF 01 – Submit required safety procedures (Confined Space, Hazard Communication, Lock-out – Tag-out, Personal Protective Equipment, and Hot-work) to the Técnico Safety Department for review and submittal to the customer as required.

Nondestructive Testing (NDT)/International Standards Organization (ISO)
Técnico’s Quality Management System is ISO 9001:2015 compliant. We maintain a full staff of QA professionals to monitor and measure the quality and effectiveness of both our processes and our products. Our Nondestructive Testing Staff is led by a certified Level III Examiner. We are certified to perform visual (VT), liquid penetrant (PT), magnetic particle (MT), and ultrasonic (UT) examination methods. Our Ultrasonic Examination capabilities include Shear Wave, Silverbraze, and Thickness Techniques. The QA/NDT Staff is well versed in the full range of applicable codes, standards, and requirements including: ABS, API, NAVSEA, MILSTDs, ASME, USCG, MSC-GTRs, and CFRs.
